About Me

When I was 18 years old, my best friend at the time bought an Ansel Adams framed photo for me out of the back of a van in the parking lot of the Mexican Restaurant she worked in. Her name was Mandy Floyd. I have not seen her in...20 years but I do wonder about her and would like to thank her once again. Around the same time I was dating a gentleman who now is a professional photographer in Atlanta. My dad has a black and white photo he took of me hanging up in his living room.... When I look at the girl in that photo, I can remember thinking, "how would I ever afford a camera like that?" I had a few digital cameras, mostly throw always though. And I loved gifting others with surprise photos of moments where they had no clue they were being watched. Those are the moments I love to really catch. Photography is a selfish and therapeutic love affair between me and my camera. I was gifted my first real camera about 8 years ago and forced my little girls to be my platform. Later, my son gifted me with another camera and my interest and love grows for photography. My son has a love for it as well and I could not be more proud of him. Throughout the years, life showed up and I got in my own way of dreams, goals...important things I wanted to do. I'm glad I made it this far. Far enough to appreciate the very moment I live and breathe in.
